Chickens burnt alive in vicious attack

June 25, 2018

RSPCA South Australia is seeking assistance from the public in relation to an incident near a Kidman Park skate park yesterday afternoon in which two chickens appear to have been deliberately set alight.

The chickens were found in a skate-park located within Collins Reserve on Valetta Rd, Kidman Park at approximately 3pm.

A member of the public called the RSPCA South Australia’S Cruelty Report Hotline to say she had found two burnt chickens, one of which was deceased and the other alive but badly injured and distressed. This chicken is now in care at RSPCA’s Lonsdale shelter.

RSPCA South Australia is seeking any information that will help identify the person or persons responsible.

Anyone who believes they may be the owners of these chickens – or who may know the identity of the owners – is also asked to please call RSPCA South Australia’s 24-hour cruelty hotline on 1300 4 777 22.
