All SA shelters closed this Sunday for Million Paws Walk!

This Sunday, May 19, our Lonsdale, Whyalla and Port Lincoln shelters will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC as our staff attend our huge Million Paws Walk event. All three shelters will reopen as usual for adoptions and surrenders on Monday, May 20. We hope to see you at Million Paws Walk!

Meet our generous adoption partners across South Australia

RSPCA animals can be adopted from a number of locations beyond our three shelters, Stepney headquarters and PetVille Superstore – all thanks to caring external partners who provide space for adoption pens at their stores and veterinary clinics.

These partnerships are especially important during the warmer months, when indiscriminate breeding and unwanted pregnancies lead to a huge increase in the number of kittens arriving at our shelters – a period known as kitten season.

We’re grateful for the support of our external adoption partners who help place kittens in locations across Adelaide, making it easier and more accessible for people to adopt a kitten responsibly.

Petbarn stores helping find homes for RSPCA cats and kittens

Petbarn is a major supporter, with all proceeds from RSPCA animal adoptions coming straight back to us, helping fund our work protecting and caring for South Australia’s at-risk animals. We are also grateful to receive regular support from the Petbarn Foundation.

The following South Australian Petbarn stores kindly offer RSPCA animals for adoption.
