For now, amid the current coronavirus pandemic, all our RSPCA Dog Training courses are temporarily cancelled. The team are working on ways in which we can provide our dog training services in an online platform. We will continue to let you know of any further updates as they progress.
Overcome common behaviour problems at home and when out and about
Do you ever ask yourself how do I stop my dog barking? Why does my dog lunge at other dogs? Why is my dog scared of new people?
Find out the answers with a one-on-one assessment and follow-up training from qualified RSPCA Dog Trainers.
Personal paw-sitive training sessions for your dog are designed to target common behaviour problems including reactivity, excessive barking, separation anxiety and mild fears and phobias.
In these sessions learn:
- ways to communicate with your dog to reassure them in stressful or arousing situations
- management techniques so you know just what to do when you get in an awkward situation
- how to address unwanted behaviours by providing alternatives.
All training uses the latest force-free methods based on the science of how dogs learn and behave.
Classes are held in a location appropriate to your dog. Most often we will initially come to your home, but ensuing training sessions can take place at RSPCA sites or external locations as appropriate. Times and venues are based on your and your dog’s needs.
Your first personal session will consist of a 90-minute assessment including a short training segment, so you and your dog can begin learning straight away.
