Ensure your client's wishes and intentions are accurately carried out

RSPCA South Australia cannot provide legal advice of any kind. We suggest you discuss your wishes with respect to leaving a gift in your Will with a legal practitioner.

You may be assisted by the following wording for your Will:

I, ___________, give and bequeath to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (South Australia) Incorporated, of 16 Nelson Street, Stepney SA 5069 (ABN 60 740 135 753), also known as RSPCA SA, for the use and purposes of the RSPCA SA:

  1. a) the residue (or ____% of the residue) of my estate
  2. b) a ____% of my estate
  3. c) a sum of $____

free of all death and estate duties.

I direct that the receipt of the Chief Executive Officer, Treasurer, Secretary or a Proper Officer of the Society for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my executors who are not bound to see the application of the gift.

Here at RSPCA, we understand that pets are part of the family, and we want to encourage people to include a plan for their pets in preparing their will. For those that don’t have friends or family that may be able to care for their pet(s), our Home Ever After program may be the perfect solution. Head here for more information.

Should your client be interested in supporting a particular facility, region or program with their bequest, please contact our Development Manager, Cassandra Barendregt, to discuss.
