Farewell Lonsdale, we’re moving!

After more than 40 years, the time has come for us to bid farewell to our outdated Lonsdale shelter.

From Thursday 25 April 2024 (ANZAC Day), our Lonsdale shelter at 25 Meyer Road will be PERMANENTLY CLOSED to the public, including adoptions and surrenders, to allow us time to relocate the animals in our care to their new home in Glenthorne National Park, O’Halloran Hill. The final day of operations at Lonsdale will be Wednesday 24 April 2024.

To celebrate Lonsdale’s last day and help as many animals as possible find their furever homes before our big move, all pet adoptions will be 50% OFF on Wednesday 24 April 2024. The shelter will open at 10am and final appointments to view animals will be at 3pm. The Lonsdale gates will be permanently closed at 4pm.

We will open our new, state-of-the-art HQ to the public for the first time at 10am on Monday, 13 May 2024. Our new campus is located at 9a Majors Road, O’Halloran Hill (north-west corner of South and Majors Rds).

Thank you so much for your support, patience and understanding during this period of transition and we cannot wait to welcome you to our new home on the hill very soon.

Lonsdale shelter closed from ANZAC Day, Thursday 25 April 2024.

O’Halloran Hill animal care campus opens 10am Monday 13 May 2024.
